PARENTS NIGHT OUT – FEATURING MIRACLE MAX

outfit-2

This weeks featured blogger is Jo from Miracle Max. Jo Is a wonderful lady with a truly inspirational story of her IVF journey & pregnancy. A brilliant blogger , shining example of a mummy and one part of the cutest couple i have ever seen. So without further ado over to you Jo ………….

My name is Jo and I’m a 33 year old married Mum of One. Max was born in June 2016 so I’m currently learning about everything that comes with being a new Mum. I’ve spent my life working as a P.A in London but am currently enjoying 12 months maternity leave and I’m loving every minute of it – I’ve never been for so many coffee mornings! I started my blog when my son was born as a way to document his life and milestones. I also blog about my miscarriage and IVF journey and just recently featured in 4 national newspapers where I shared our fertility story.

1. Tell me what you are wearing and why it’s your favourite going out outfit?
This is one of my favourite outfits to wear. It’s a dress I picked up from Next a few years ago. It’s so comfortable to wear, nice and loose so it doesn’t cling to my Mum Tum but yet still looks really feminine and flattering.

2. How often do you get to go on nights out?

Me and my husband used to go out every Saturday night for what we called ‘date night’ but since we’ve had a baby that’s just not possible. Luckily we have lovely parents who offer to babysit so I’d say we currently get to go out once a month.

3. Where is your favourite place to go on a night out? ( e.g. favourite bar / restaurant/concert )

I love going to London with my husband. There’s so much to do their but my ultimate night out would be dinner at our favourite restaurant, The Ivy, followed by a show in the West End and finished off with a drink or two.

4. How much do you normally spend on an outfit and where do you like to shop?

I’m a big fan of high street shops when it comes to clothes. I shriek with delight if I come across a Zara and spend hours in there browsing all their beautiful clothes! I don’t ever spend too much though and I’d say an entire outfit rarely costs me anymore than £100.

5. How long does it take you to get ready?

It used to take me anywhere between 1-2 hours to get ready but since I became a Mum I’ve managed to get that down to an impressive 30 minutes from start to finish. There’s not much time to pamper yourself when you have a newborn.

6. What is your favourite drink?

I love a good old fashioned Pina Colada – it’s the best cocktail around in my opinion.

7. Do you have a party trick?

It’s not very feminine or attractive but I can fit my whole fist in my mouth.

8. What’s the most you have ever spent on an item of clothing/accessory?

I have a slight obsession with handbags and particularly love Mulberry bags. I’m lucky enough to own 2, both of which cost around £800.

9. What’s your No1 tip for getting ready with kids in the house?

Be quick!! Babies have no concept of time nor do they understand how important it is that Mummy looks her best. And make sure you have your outfit planned in advance to speed up the process.

10. If you could have a night out anywhere in the world where would it be, why that location and what would you do on the night out?

I’d love to spend the night in a beach bungalow in the Maldives. I’d sit outside on the decking, sipping a cocktail with my husband and take in the beautiful scenery.

Jo looks amazing in that dress! I’d love a Mulberry bag but don’t think it will ever happen. #dreamandsparkle

What a gorgeous dress! I have a think for handbags too but never dared spend much money on them till Very Exclusive arrived and had a massive sale and the hubby treated me to three! None were as expensive as a Mulberry (not individually anyway) but they’re my pride and joy 😁

  14. Great date night plans, like the tips on getting ready. We went out on a meal at the weekend with our 16month year old. He was such a star that it felt like we were on a date night. Hand holding and everything. Thanks for linking up to #familyfun

    • The UnNatural Mother says:

The romance !! We occasionally do days dates during the week and take Charley with us who is 14 months. A bowl of pasta and she is happy for a good hour. Sadly it normally ends up all over restaurant but that’s part of the beauty of going out for a meal, we don’t clear up 🙂 Ha ha

  15. Tammymum says:

  16. YES to Pina Coladas thank you! It’s funny how things change quite dramatically after having kids, isn’t it? I used to take a long time to get ready but now I have to be ready in 10-20minutes if not, there is no way we will get anywhere on time. Thanks for featuring Jo. I enjoyed learning more about her. #bigpinklink
