I hope you have all had a great Mother’s Day and were spoilt rotten. It’s one of my favourite days of the year as my parents come over and I cook for them and we spend time with the kids. This year has been extra special as Charley is now toddling about and joined us at the dinner table ( the food mainly covered the floor ) What did you do for Mothers Day this year?
This week’s favourites all have different themes but each one I can relate to and the emotion that came through in the writing meant they really stood out. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
It’s Not The Day For A School Play – We all have to make decisions as a parent on behalf of our children and sometimes you don’t know if you are doing right for doing wrong. You can only have their best intentions at heart and can only hope for the best.
Growing Your Family – A second baby is a blessing but sometimes you miss the 1-1 time you used to have with your eldest child. I too had well-meaning family who took Harry ‘ off my hands’ so I could spend time with Charley but occasionally I wished it was the other way around and I missed alone time with my son. A very common mistake people make and I wish I had spoken up and saved myself heartache.
Seeing The Sunshine Through The Rain – This is just simply beautiful. I’m sure at some point we all look at our child when they are having the 100 meltdowns of the day and see a problem, not a child. Too may ‘professional’ bounce about scary words without knowing what they are talking about. Cross fingers this is one of those time.
some amazing posts last week for sure #postsfromtheheart

Well done for doing the cooking for your family. I’ve yet to get caught up in the enthusiasm of cooking so let hubby do it. #PostsFromTheHeart
