March Hair & Beauty Favourites + Demo’s [ Video ]

March Hair & Beauty Products

With winter finally melting away and the sun waking up from hibernation it was time to switch up a few of my daily hair & beauty products and give myself a mini springover. I am determined that now i have  more time to hands each day to at least look presentable rather than the hot mess I normally look like on the school run.I like a product that’s quick, does what is sayings on the packaging and is long-lasting and all the above tick those boxes. Take a look at my latest VLOG below to see me talk through my March favourites and give a couple of demos of how to use the products.

Beverley Hills Natural White Activated Charcoal Toothpaste  – I love coffee, chocolate and red wine and after 3 days my teeth were much brighter. I purchased mine from Home Bargains for £1.50 ( not they £4.99 the charge everywhere else )

Simple Micellar Wipes – I know the skin care experts freak at people using face wipes but as a mum with a very limited window to get ready in, sometimes I just need a quick skin refresh and get out the door.I have tried lots of wipes over the years but I keep going back to the Simple range and more so the newish Micellar ones.

Lee Stafford – The Straightener – These were kindly sent to me by the nice people at Lee Stafford to try out and review and I have now used them exclusively for a month and I am a huge fan.I love the little rubber stopper for the end of the plates and the optional heat setting is great for different hair types. To answer the question are they better than GHD’s ?  I don’t think anything will ever be better but they are definitely on a par with GHD’s and at 1/2 the price great for anyone on a budget.

BodyShop Vitamin E Moisturiser – I have used lots of Bodyshop products and never thought of trying this moisturiser but a small pot came as part of a set I received for Mothers Day so I thought I would give it a try. I have acne prone, combination skin that breaks out at the slightest thing so I though the Vitamin E moisturiser would be too rich but I was totally wrong and have fallen in love with it. It’s really light, sinks straight into your skin and is a great base for makeup.

James Read – H2O Gradual Tan Mist – I was given this in a Blogging WorkShop goody bag and with summer coming I thought I would try it out. It smells amazing ( Rose Water ), is really light and gives a lovely soft bronze glow within 1/2 hour. I have been spritzing this on and then just adding a coat of mascara to my lashes for a fresh day look.

Bleach London –  Rose Cool Colour – I love the colour this product gave my hair and for a quick pop of colour for a night out I would highly recommend it. The instructions say to put it on wet hair and wait for up to 30 minutes but I would suggest putting it on dry hair for 30 minutes as the colour took much better that way. Most of the colour came out within the first 2 washes and it took about 6 washes in total for it to fully return to blonde. I can’t wait to do it again 🙂

WunderBrow Eyebrow Gel – Brunette – This product has been around for ages and after seeing lots of YouTuber’s recommend it I thought I would give it a try.My brows are punishing me for years of tweezer abuse and the Wunderbrow is great for giving them more shape and filling in the patches. I would recommend using it with an angle brush as the applicator is rubbish.

Maybelline – Great Lash Waterproof – Very Black – This is just a really good true black waterproof mascara. It’s not clumpy gives lots of length to your lashes doesn’t flake off and its waterproof. What more do you want from a mascara?

Bodyshop Matte Lip Liquid – Sicily Iris – I have several shades of the Matt Lip Liquid range and they are all fab but I love the shade Sicily Iris the most. I have only recently got into wearing lip products( I used a tinted lip chapstick most days ) so I have gone from 0-100 very quickly by wearing a very dark colour. I suppose if you are going to have a change it may as well be a total change !! Unlike other matte lip products,Ii have tried the Bodyshop range doesn’t dry your lips out or feel unconformable and the colour stays fresh for a good 2 hours before you need to reapply.

Bodyshop – Contouring Brush – I have always loved makeup and am actually a qualified makeup artist ( brag ! ) so I have been contouring my face long before Kim Kardashian’s  Make Up Artist made it famous. I have used lots of contouring brushes and had the NARS Ita brush for a long time before it got broke, so when I looked to replace it I thought I would try something different ,save some money and purchased the Bodyshop’s version.I actually prefer it to the NARS and think you get a cleaner line and it’s much easier to hold. The price is also a factor NARS = £42 Bodyshop = £14. I will be sticking with my new purchase.

Bodyshop Honey Bronze Dry Oil – Honey Kiss  – This has been around for years and it’s not my 1st bottle but I have added it to my March Favourites as I have been using it pretty much every day to add a bit of colour on my legs and arms. It’s really easy to apply smells amazing and gives your skin a lovely soft glow. You can layer it up if you want more colour but for a day look a quick a quick sweep over your legs and arms is enough to cover your pasty winter skin.

I hope you have enjoyed watching my VLOG today and let me know if you have used any of the products above and what you think of them. If you have any favourites comment below and I will try them out.
