Oscar de la Renta On a Budget

I think by now you will know i am a huge fan of Sex & The City and my teenage ambition in life was to be Carrie Bradshaw. Sarah Jessica Parker and her quirky designer style still inspire me to this day. One of the most memorable outfits she ever wore was the pink Oscar de la Renta dress that Russian artist, Aleksander Petrovsky surprised her with ( you can watch the video here )  It was style & grace wrapped up in a $3,000 bow. Even me with my fancy ways cant afford $ 3,000, so how about I recreate the look with a Boohoo dress purchased from Steals for £3.00? ( nope I’m not kidding ) .  Now before you scroll down, yes, I am accessorising the dress with a £300 Gucci belt but that’s what you get when your husband walks in at 3 a.m in mid-December ( 2hrs late ) and offer’s to buy you anything you want for Christmas as long as you don’t shout at him. ( don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and all that ). So, here is my version of Oscar de la Renta on a budget.

If you live in the Blackpool or Preston area then go and check out your local Steals  to grab a bargain. Just like any factory outlet be prepared for a good rummage through the rails. Steals also do a great range of shoes and accessories to finish off any outfit. I am quite proud to say I got my dress for £3 when it’s still available on the original website for full price. If you don’t want to confess to your bargain hunting you can always tell a little pink lie.
