When you receive an invite from Peter Jackson The Jewellers to spend an evening drinking champagne and trying on expensive diamonds, you don’t turn it down! Then throw in food by Bite Club , a makeover by Sonara Parker and a photo shoot courtesy of Jenny Higgins and it starts to feel like you are at the Oscars.
I lived in Preston for 10 years and had been into Peter Jackson’s several times but rightly or wrongly I always presumed it was a large corporate chain like Earnest Jones. I was completely wrong and slightly gobsmacked when Peter was not only there on the night but greeted me with a glass of bubbly and a selection of diamonds to try on ( oh go on then Peter if I have to).
Peter opened the Preston store in 1982 and has since gone on to open 4 more across the north-west. He has won countless awards from Independent Jeweller of the Year to East Lancashire Retailer of the Year. His greatest achievement is being awarded an MBE by Her Majesty the Queen in 2012 for services to charity. I can tell you from spending the evening with him that Peter is a very charismatic gentleman who instantly puts you at ease. He has a very calming grace about him that when he slips £28,000 worth of diamonds set in a stylish 3 stone setting onto your finger it feels like the most natural thing in the world.
Peter knows the way to a girls heart as no sooner had he decorated me in diamonds he presented me with a goody bag containing among other things a beautiful Thomas Sabo bracelet and charm. During the night I had the opportunity to use the brand new engraving machine and customise my charm. As a nod to my loving husband, I choose our wedding anniversary on one side and 2 entwined hearts on the other.
Peter Jackson’s stocks a wide range of brands but you all know I am a Gucci Girl so like a magpie I headed straight over to see what I could adorn myself with from the bespoke Gucci area. One of my earliest designer purchases was a Gucci watch and it’s still going strong now 17 years later but there was no harm in trying an updated version was there ???? This beautiful watch retails at £645.00 which may sound expensive but when you think my original watch is still going strong after 17 years you know you are buying a quality piece. Also if you decided it was time for a treat or you have a big event or anniversary coming up then Peter has kindly given me a 15% discount code off most ( T&C’s apply ) items on his website. Just use UNMUM18 when you checkout.
So, please go and see Peter and experience his hospitality in store. His personality and warmth are as sparkling as his diamonds.
