Even with daily exercise, my diet and nutrition had gone out of the window during lockdown. Ravioli stuffed with goat’s cheese pesto with a tomato and tofu sauce

After I had chosen my meals Dietbon then scheduled a call with one of their highly trained Nutritionist to talk through my present diet and lifestyle and make some recommendations. Even though I thought my normal diet was pretty healthy she was shocked to hear I ate an avocado a day. Too much fat she said. The nutritionist also suggested I reduce my running from 5k per day to maybe once or twice a week and introduce some yoga into my fitness regime while I was on the plan. It is a calorie-controlled diet so excessive exercise is not recommended.
6.30 am: Wake up and do 30 minutes of Yoga / 20-minute jog
7 a.m: Drink a cup of Vitalize Me tea along with a breakfast of plain pancakes and a 1/2 cup of natural yoghurt with 4 small strawberries
10 a.m: Drink a cup of black coffee
12.30 p.m: Dietbon slimming meal ( my favourite lunches were spicy tomato and beef soup & salmon with vegetables and grains and a soya sauce )
Followed by a fruit compote ( which helped curve my sugar craving )
4 p.m: Drink a cup of black coffee along with a mini lemon cake.
7 p.m: Dietbon slimming meal ( my favourite dinners were Mexican meatballs with pasta vegetables and tomato sauce & Roast chicken fillet with mashed potatoes ) along with a side of raw vegetables ( carrots in my case ) with 1tsp oil.
Followed by a fat-free yoghurt each night
9 p.m: Drink a cup of Keep Calm tea to help me wind down before bed.
I wasn’t looking to lose weight on the plan, more reestablished a nutritional diet to sustain over the next few months. I did end up losing 2lb’s in a week which was a bonus. I was worried I would get hungry while following the Dietbon diet meals delivery plan but apart from 1 mid-morning tummy rumble on day 2 I didn’t have any problems. The food was quick to prepare in the microwave ( only 2 minutes ) and the large selection meant I never felt like I was on a diet. I did make a small change to the plan and enjoyed my fat-free yoghurt after my evening meal instead of with my snack at 4 p.m but that’s the great thing about Dietbon you can make small tweaks here and there to fit in with your lifestyle. I also found that on the 7th day I didn’t want to spoil all my hard work so I stuck to a balanced diet with the addition of a small glass of wine and some homemade lemon cake.
