Jana Reinhardt is a small company run by a husband and wife team: Jana Reinhardt and Ross Cutting – both master-goldsmiths who are as passionate about hand-making jewellery, as they are about animal welfare and green living.
In the last year, Jana Reinhardt has created several exclusive pieces intended to raise awareness and funds for charities that help orangutans (OVAID), and greyhounds (Galgos Del Sol) and established partnerships with charities including NAWT and PETA.
They don’t use machine manufacture, preferring the old techniques of wax carving and fabrication to create their products. These traditional methods have no negative effect on the environment, making Jana Reinhardt a more sustainable choice for jewellery lovers. All precious metals used by Jana Reinhardt are from accredited suppliers, based in the UK and Germany, that continually buy back and recycle scrap metal, thus helping to create more environmentally friendly jewellery.
I am wearing the Tiny Hummingbird Necklace, created in homage to the worlds smallest bird. Just like the bird itself the necklace is small, dainty and delicate. It sits close to the skin for an elegant finish to any outfit.
This would make a thoughtful gift with the option of engraving available.
