Dough Face Bakery

Box Contains 2 x original, Orange & cranberry, red velvet, biscoff and cookies & cream

The way to my heart will always be cake. I was kindly asked by an up and coming bakery to sample and review their new range of sweet treats. Dough Face Bakery was recently launched by Tess after years of baking for her friends and family. Each month she creates dough-based treats that are delivered straight to the door.

I was lucky enough to be asked to sample her sweet rolls. Based on the classic cinnamon roll Jess has created an array of flavours to suit every palate. As the picture above shows I was given a box of mixed flavours to enjoy with the family ( well technically I tasted all of them for research purposes )

Each week Tess takes orders through her Instagram Page @DoughFaceBakery. Orders can be placed between Sunday – Wednesday for local delivery on Friday & Saturdays to FY5 and surrounds .

I am a huge supporter of women in business and like me, Tess runs her business around being a Mummy and all the extra chaos that comes with that. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights but when you have a passion like Tess you can taste it in her baking.

So What Did We Sample?

Here are the flavours that came in the mixed box last week.

Original – I really liked the original rolls. A light cinnamon flavour and rich vanilla frosting. These would make the perfect weekend breakfast.

Orange & cranberry – Oh so delicious and tangy. A very fresh flavour and great chunks of cranberry for a great bite.

Red velvet – I liked the heavier taste of the red velvet. I would serve this one as a dessert with ice cream to balance the flavours.

Biscoff – The perfect bun to accompany your morning coffee. The best balance of crunch and bite. Full of flavour and the smell when you get them out of the oven is divine.

Cookies & cream – The kids favourite. This one did not disappoint. Full of biscuits chunks and rich chocolate, this flavour was a real treat to the senses. Very, very moreish.

I think by the tone of this blog you can see that we are 100% a fan of Tess and Dough Face Bakery. A very original concept and so much passion go into creating each flavour. I am excited to see the next dough of the month and I hope you will help support Tess by giving her a follow and ordering your own Dough Face Bakery treats.
