2022 The Year Of Travel – Collaboration with Jet2holidays

I think when I say this I am pretty much speaking for most of the world. ” Get me on Holiday ” !!! Before kids ( with the help of my travel industry discount ) I thought nothing of hopping over to America or booking a 4-day stay in Dubai. Even when the kids caused us extra baggage we would book a last-minute holiday and enjoy a week away in Turkey or Tenerife.

Then you know what happened and Blackpool was our Barbados for 18 months.

So, this year I am determined to make up for it and dust off my passport for a few much-needed trips.

Skiing

I have always wanted to go on a girls ski trip to a fabulous resort and swoosh down the slopes, eat cheese fondue and drink Aperol Spritz surrounded by snowy mountains and hunky looking ski instructors. We will just leave out the minor detail that I can’t ski yet as that spoils the story, but an intense ski course has been booked so I will be a Ski Bunny before you know it.

European Christmas Markets

Keeping with the Wintery theme I love Christmas Markets. Just before all flights were grounded back in 2019 I managed to nip over to Amsterdam and enjoy the delights of their Winter Markets which lined the streets daily. This year I would love to celebrate the season Scandi-style with a short break to see the Copenhagen Christmas Market. A few mulled wine’s while strolling along Nyhavn Harbour, Danish pastry in hand. I miss Christmas already.

Winter Sunshine

Most of all I am desperate for some Winter sun. To feel the warm sunshine on my skin, lay in hammocks and drink even more Aperol Spritz. This will be the first holiday to get booked as it’s needed the most. There are so many amazing deals online at the moment and so many choices. We love Turkey for the ease of having everything in one resort and always found the standard of hotels very high. Sunshine holidays for us are all about relaxing and re-energising, so the kids enjoy time in the pool while the adults can watch on from a sun lounger. Now if that isn’t peace on earth I don’t know what is.
